When there are just the two of you it makes sense to buy a smaller, more compact caravan for economy and easier towing. Up until now, it’s been hard to find a small van designed specifically for couples that still had all the features of a larger caravan. That is, until our new Parkes 11 2-berth off road caravan with a pop-top style roof for a slimmer towing profile while still giving you all the head room you need once you’re set up.
The Parkes 11 has everything couples need for affordable and comfortable off-grid living, and, of course, its sturdy construction and trailing arm, independent coil spring suspension means you can go off road with complete confidence. Just look at everything you get.
Interior Style and Comfort
Your new home away from home includes a king-sized bed that transforms your dining table and seating into a cosy and comfortable bedroom. There’s plenty of storage space throughout for all your stuff, and you’ll love the 19” full HD TV and DVD player, four-speaker stereo system, and 81L Evakool fridge/freezer with overhead storage. Enjoy a premium quality slide-out kitchen sink and 4-burner gas stove, with drawers for everything and a fold-away wind shield/splatter shield.
The list of standard inclusions for the Parkes 11 is truly amazing and you can choose from some very handy and clever optional extras.
Here are just some of the great features that come as standard:
- 16” alloy wheels and off-road tyres
- Lockable external storage drawers
- Submersible LED tail lights and external gas bottle holders
- Two 85L water tanks
- 12” electric brakes
- Break-away safety system
- LED internal lighting and courtesy lights
- 3.5 Tonne Alko Off Road Hitch for off road towing

12V Power System
No need to worry about connecting to a powered site, you can camp anywhere you want with the on board, 12V power system. Stashed away under the lounge seating are two 100Ah deep cycle batteries that can charge from your vehicle while you’re driving, via the Anderson plug. The batteries can also be charged with a solar panel when you’re camping.
There are 240V sockets, internal cigarette sockets and USB sockets so you can plug in and charge everything, and your 12V power is organised by the battery management system that displays volts, amps, power level and even water tank levels.
